The Bird Buggy Mission

It is our quest to produce the smoothest riding, best looking and most comfortable machine in the field.

Bird Buggy began over 20 years ago in the small town of Leesburg, Georgia. The tradition continues today. Hand made by a dedicated group of craftsmen committed to continuing the legacy of the original bird buggy!

The Executive Team

Kyle Smith

Chief Buggy Designer / Builder

Southern born and raised. Undergraduate at University of Georgia, post-graduate at University of South Carolina. Worked with an environmental engineering / consulting firm in Florida until coming back home to pursue the dream of building the best hunting rigs.

Ruff Night at the Rusty Rudder (AKA. Ruddy)

Chief Product Tester

Born out of two great black labs in Milford, DE. Given to me by some great friends, thorn in my side ever since. Trained by the great Wayne Curtis of Fox Hollow Kennels.

Jacob West (AKA. Grumpy)

Chief of Fabrication

Educated in L-Burg and then Tulsa welding school in Jacksonville. An expert welder in all processes and fabricator. Currently works to ensure that our crazy prototypes get turned into more than just an idea. Helps to keep Buck inline… and on-time!

Buck Manders (AKA. Bucknasty)

Chief of Production / Product Development

Educated in Leesburg. Father of three. Excellent welder, driller, fabricator. Mediocre fisherman. Keeps the buggy builds moving out of the shop and into the woods!
